How to Taste & Talk Wine
Our introductory class. This is where your journey begins! Shopping for wine can be intimidating and overwhelming. Finding wines that are perfect for you begins with understanding the characteristics in wine that appeal to you most.

Familiar Grapes, Unfamiliar Places
You’re familiar with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. What about Sancerre, Chablis, Bordeaux and Burgundy… all made from these very same grapes? An eye-opening comparison of Old and New World wines.
-

-
Bubbles, Bubbles and More Bubbles
Develop a passion for sparkling wines through an exploration of Champagne, Franciacorta, Cava, Prosecco and others. Learn how specific grapes and production techniques influence these sparklers.
-
Grapes of Spain
Spain is oh-so-much more than Tempranillo. With more land planted with grapevines than any other country, it’s no surprise that Spain offers an exciting amount of diversity in its wines. Join us as we explore the grapes of Spain including some less familiar, but important, varieties.
-
Chile–Argentina
Chile and Argentina are neighboring countries and their wines often get lumped into one category. But the terroir and growing environments in both could not be more different. Learn about the primary grapes grown, the differences between these regions and try wines side-by-side to experience these differences.
-
Pinot Noir
With autumn comes the transition to red wines. Join us for a study on one of our favorites, PinotNoir. Learn what makes this grape challenging to grow in the vineyard and why you’ll often pay a few more dollars for quality expressions. Taste Pinot Noirs from around the world including a white Pinot Noir. (Yes, you read that correctly!)
-
Rosé All Day!
Maybe not all day, but certainly a solid 90 minutes! This class explores the production methods winemakers use to create our favorite pink drink. We’ll learn about direct press, short maceration, saignée and blending. And then — the best part — we’ll taste through an international mix of wines representing these production methods.
